You’ll want to be organized as you may often manage multiple episodes or segments at once. Collaboration of course is another key skill, as writers work closely with hosts, producers, and other team members to launch a successful episode.

There are many ways to get into podcast writing. In some cases, you may want to experiment with your skills and write and produce your own show, alone or with a team. Otherwise, it can be a good idea to keep an eye on your favorite shows and podcast networks to see if they have an opening. 

Remember when you search not to limit to only the title of Podcast Writer. In some cases, a role may be advertised as a producer position but be looking for someone to help with pre-production and writing.
