A podcast for those always looking at how we can shape the future. The Philanthropist’s Conversation, created by Pegasus, is a narrative mini-series tackling the world’s most urgent challenges through thoughtful audio storytelling. Season 1 explored rising urban heat, with listeners following a fictional host named Paula on a global journey—visiting London, Paris, New York, and Doha—to uncover how cities can become more heat-resilient. Experts in sustainability, design, and policy help break down ideas like green infrastructure and climate adaptation into human-first conversations. Season 2, now in production, will explore global food systems, with each episode examining key challenges and real-world case studies shaping the future of food.
The show is produced by Pegasus, a new initiative from the Tse Foundation. Pegasus focuses on “social architecture”—connecting environmental design with social behavior to help communities thrive. Their goal is to create cultural change by blending innovation, research, and real stories.
To launch their show, Pegasus teamed up with Lower Street to reach their audience and deliver high-quality production.
The Philanthropist’s Conversation case study will show how we worked together to launch a branded series.

Developing the Show
With a brand podcast, Pegasus wanted to go beyond traditional content and start real, paradigm-shifting conversations. They believed audio could offer something written content couldn’t: the intimacy of voice, the nuance of tone, and the power of hearing someone’s story directly from them. A podcast would be more impactful than blog posts, and bring forth more action, and empathy.
At the heart of season 1 is Paula’s journey through four global cities to uncover how each is tackling urban heat. For season 2, Pegasus continues this narrative approach, shifting focus to global food challenges, where each episode unpacks a different aspect of food sustainability and innovation.
Along the way, listeners hear from real experts in urban design, climate science, technology, and policy. These are very real, first-person accounts about how cities can adapt and how people can lead. Episodes also include reflective elements, like readings of inspiring texts, to leave listeners not only informed but moved.
Based on documentary research and crafted with care, the series came to life through a partnership between Pegasus and Lower Street. We helped shape the narrative arc, guided the team through smooth production, delivered rich sound design, and made sure the show reached the right audience.
