What's the gig?
We’re looking for an Sound Designer to join our Production Team, and will work closely with folks like Harry (CEO) and Alex (Head of Post Production).
In this role you’ll be taking rough cuts from producers, and turning them into highly polished, ready to publish, episodes.
This means finessing edits, cleaning up dialogue, working on pacing, sourcing and integrating music, creating soundscapes, as well as mixing and mastering the finished product.
To be clear, your role will not just be that of an ‘um’ and ‘ah’ remover. It will be to elevate already great content into something truly special.
And you wont be doing this alone - we have a collaborative and supportive team of sound designers, who work alongside a team of excellent producers, and we all share one goal: To make the best possible podcasts.
Things you'll do:
- Edit a range of interview, narrative, solo, and fictional podcasts - working from a rough cut and/or brief.
- Take rough cuts from Descript, and turn them into polished episodes in Pro Tools.
- Mixing, Mastering, sourcing and placing and editing library music, making music, and anything else required to bring the best version of the content to life.
- Coordinate and take ownership of audio, session, and any other files needed to get the episode done.
- Make great use of Pro Tools, iZotope RX, Ableton, and other programs.

Extensive experience editing podcasts.

A great ear, with the ability to mix and master your own work.

A desire to grow and learn from other sound designers, and work with highly skilled producers.

The ability to work to deadlines so that shows never miss schedule.

Excellent communication skills.
